Eighth Consecutive Year Receiving this Recognition
WPM Real Estate Management has once again been recognized as a Top Workplace in the Baltimore area by The Baltimore Sun, making this the eighth consecutive year WPM has received this award. One of the Mid-Atlantic region’s premier property management companies, WPM was the highest ranking property management firm in the Baltimore region.
WPM manages more than 23,000 units across more than 150 properties, ranging from residential and senior living to commercial, retail and industrial real estate. The company’s reputation for excellence is one of the many reasons WPM continues to be called to manage some of the region’s most sought-after properties, including The Belvedere located in the heart of historic Mount Vernon; the Fox Building, an adaptive re-use development in Baltimore City’s artistic and dynamic Hamden neighborhood that combines 93 market-rate apartments with 5,000 square feet of artisan studios; and Clipper Mill, a-one-of-a-kind mixed-use redevelopment of a former textile mill.
“This recognition is really a tribute to our Associates,” says WPM President James Dahlgren, Jr. “Their passion for serving our communities, their commitment to continual improvement and innovation, and their desire to build a work environment that fosters collaboration and ongoing learning is really what makes WPM a great place to work.”
To be selected as a Top Workplace, companies must employ at least 50 people in the Baltimore metro area and may be public, private, nonprofit or governmental, and could be nominated by anyone. A third-party company, WorkplaceDynamics, conducts a 22-question survey among the employees of each nominated company, covering topics such as training, work/life balance, company values and leadership, employee appreciation, compensation, retention, and motivation. Employers are ranked in size categories based solely on employees’ anonymous responses to the survey questions. The top-scoring employers in each size category are then selected as the Top Workplaces.
WPM continues to be honored for investing in its employees through training and professional development as well as its commitment to the community. WPM’s more than 500 employees across its business lines are driven to create positive change in – whether engaging in signature initiatives that build community gardens and physical structures to support the work of nonprofit partners, or ongoing volunteer efforts to prepare food packages for school-aged children, to donate food, supplies, and toys for those in need, and to raise funds that support the work of the United Way of Central Maryland.
